Exercise is an important component of health and wellbeing at any age; however, it may be especially beneficial from peri through to post menopause.
Pilates exercises are effective for all the components that a woman needs to concentrate on for this time of her life.
Low impact exercises will nourish and support your body through the menopause and beyond. The exercises are slow and controlled for a mind-body connection which helps you to focus on movement, reducing risk of injury to vulnerable joints at this stage of life because of depleting hormones.
Cortisol levels increase during menopause and peri menopause, to help combat this, we work with the breath and mindfulness to calm down the nervous system to help you unwind.
Your teacher will be Samantha Davies. Sam is a Pilates instructor with a special interest in supporting women through peri-menopause and menopause with exercise.
